About Annabella Milbanke

Annabella Milbanke was born on May 17, 1792. On his second proposal, she married Lord Byron on January 2, 1815 but soon got a divorce in 1816. Lord Byron called her the Princess of Parallelograms because she was interested in mathematics. Annabella Milbanke died of breast cancer on May 16, 1860.

Parallelograms

The area formula of squares, rectangles, and parallelograms are the same because they have similiar structures and are all parallelograms. The state of Tennessee is about 120 miles wide and 440 miles in length which makes it about 42,169 sq miles.

What I've learned from Ch. 10

I've learned many things from chapter 10 in geometry. I learned the difference between a minor arc, major arc, and a semicircle. If an angle is inscribed in a circle, then the measure of the angle equals 1/2 the measure of its intercepted arc. I also learned that if a line is perpendicular to a radius of a circle at its endpoint on the circle, then the line is tangent to the circle. Lastly, I learned that a line that intersects a circle in exactly two points is called a secant.

Some careers that use these concepts are photography and astronomy.

How can you tell if an angle is inscribed?
